Inside, her chest
A lake sealed from
All the rivers.
Waves beat,
But cannot find the sand.
Floating,
In the midnight,
I saw her on shore,
When I began to shiver,
Waiting,
For her to find me there.
Arms reach, defeated,
Legs kick beneath the surface,
When both hands fell below the sea.
I was enthralled by her guise,
Yet blinded by the clouds of my screams,
Drowning in the gloom of death,
Suspended in the peace of a dream,
She sang with honey on her lips,
With a forked tongue twisting the sound,
Drifting on the waves of sleep,
Into the depth of her ruby eyes.
