With in a dream my love was caught,
By the one I cannot find,
Who searched for me as I searched for him.

My hands shook when I first saw him,
Hi piercing silver eyes caught mine,
I didn’t see his slender hand enslave my heart.

He spoke and my breath was caught in his words,
He called to me and I would not contest,
His sharp sent controlled the very air.

He held me with unworldly strength,
And spoke with primal tenderness,
I was surly his to own.

With a knowledge no other dreamt of,
He took my mind to shape at will,
Sights and sounds no human knew before.

But it was only a dream,
And so long I felt abandoned,
By my own consciousness.

Such a dream I would not have guessed,
Had been shared by that, the same,
I’d fallen in love with in a vision.

My hands shook from disbelief, at his sight,
While his gleaming silver eyes caught mine,
I dared him to enslave my wild heart again.

My breath fell short of purpose,
When he called wistfully to me,
His sharp scent filled the air.

Uninhibited by time or space,
He held me in his tender strength,
I evaporated from my hopeful will.

In the moon-dark night,
He whisked steadily away,
Not to be seen again.

Dead, lost, still searching for him,
His duo-tone voice upon a nightly dream,
I‘ve lost him once again.

Toward the gleaming, brilliant stars,
I hope to see him glancing back,
To seek me out and live a glorious dream.
